    D2 TD5 Water pump

    Hi team,

I have just spent about 7 hours removing the water pump on my D2.... I am not fully sure who I hate most: the designer who started with a water pump and built the Td5 around it, the previous owner who assured me the water pump had been "done" last year or the tard who "did" the water pump using silastic on everything, including bolt threads....... Now, if only I could add a photo!!

I actually found it pretty easy to replace.

This has some really good tutorials for future:

You, it is pretty straightforward, and I did look at the tutorial before kicking off. But, the one in the tutorial did not have ACE, and the statement that access is restricted if ACE is fitted is a great understatement!!
the problem was access, big fat fingers, undoing silasticed in bolts a smidgin at a time and cleaning smeared on silastic....... Only took about 3 hours to get it all back together!!
