    Rotten egg smell is sulphur-ish.
Only thing I can think of is a battery cooking.
Unless you've upset someone in which case it could be actual rotten eggs - similar to the old prawn head trick

If it's a V8 with cats then maybe a leak from the exhaust if it's only when cold?

TD5. We had it with the aircon on & with the aircon off. I have a 3'' straight through exhaust. I've taken 1 of the aux batteries out of the back, i did smell an off smell in the back when i took 1 of the batteries out.

Hopefully you don't have an open lead acid battery in the rear, as they have to be vented to the outside, both by law and common sense.

The least to have is like a BMW boot battery (Euro) with a vent tube that goes to the outside of the car or an AGM, and even an AGM can vent if overcharged.

So if you replace the battery keep this in mind.
    Regards Philip A
