That certainly isn't the knock sensor as used on the early P38A but is on the later cars. I'd have thought there would be one each side of the side of the block under the exgaust manifolds.Quote:

Pedro I occasionally get a ping or 3 under adverse conditions before the sensors and ECU sort it out. Not common by any means. The 4.0 had it occasionally to and I have only ever run Shell 98. Cheers
