Question For those with LRA coil springs - which colour are you using and what accessories?

For those using Les Richmond Automotive coil springs on their D2 or D2a, which colour are you using and what additional weight in the form of accessories (i.e. bullbar, winch, second battery, roof rack, lights, rear HD bar, etc.) have you also got fitted?

Wow, that's very heavy duty at the front compared to the advise I got from LRA! Spoke to Andrew at LRA yesterday and he recommended that I try their Red's in the front (similar accessories to you - D2a, ARB Sahara bar, 9,500lb winch, driving lights and LED bar, second battery, underbody bash guards, roof rack, heavy duty rear bar).

Yes, these are aftermarket coil springs sold by Les Richmond Automotive designed to increase the vehicle ride height (lift) - check out the chart above in my first post and Coil Springs for more details.

I would say Red would give you the factory ride height.

Are you looking to be standard height or above?

Have you measured your axle weights? My front is 1200Kg (The maximum allowed on the VIN plate).

Without axle weighs you can't really workout what springs you need.

When I did mine I jacked from the body to get to the ride height I wanted. Measured the distance between the top and bottom spring mounts, this gave me the target spring length as shown in their graph. Then I got my front and rear axle weights. With the target spring length and axle weight plotted them on their graph and choose the spring closest to my mark. When I initially did mine I didn't have the winch, although I also bought some LRA 'spring shims' which I will probably fit one day just to bring the front up a fraction.

Thought I'd update the thread for future reference for anyone else interested.

The Red springs achieved a stock standard ride height with the bulbar, dual batteries, winch, driving lights, roof rack, etc. Purple/Yellows provided me with just over 2" of lift (measured at the bump stop gaps). Very happy with the new ride height although I did prefer my stiffer King Springs handling...
