The clutch pedal switch makes sense and that little speaker may come in handy to put onto my UHF radio as it is wedged into the overhead unit and the built in speaker is pretty well muffled.

Horn and cruise control issues point to the "clock spring" aka "rotary coupler"
They can be repaired or replaced. Masochists repair, sane person replaces.
The unit is the same on D1 and D2.
Nanocom can help confirm if switch inputs are being received.
The GPS power lead and the hands free unit were hooked into two different sets of wires so I just cut them off.
I will replace the fuse for the horn and see if it still blows, Hopefully the problem was a short in one of the units that was causing the problem.
Maybe have a look in the wiring diagrams in RAVE, since it is only 2 wires and coloured, so you should be able to find what it is.
The cruise control now works [bigrolf]
