The clutch pedal switch makes sense and that little speaker may come in handy to put onto my UHF radio as it is wedged into the overhead unit and the built in speaker is pretty well muffled.

Horn and cruise control issues point to the "clock spring" aka "rotary coupler"
They can be repaired or replaced. Masochists repair, sane person replaces.
The unit is the same on D1 and D2.
Nanocom can help confirm if switch inputs are being received.

The light comes on at the switch, There is NO icon on the dash coming up.
Mine is a 2003 face lift model. I do not have a light or symbol on dash for cruise control. Maybe that is a North American thing. Or do I need to play with the Nanocom?

The GPS power lead and the hands free unit were hooked into two different sets of wires so I just cut them off.
I will replace the fuse for the horn and see if it still blows, Hopefully the problem was a short in one of the units that was causing the problem.

AFAIK there is just the orange light in the dash mounted switch on all of them. But I don't have an update.

Be aware that non air bag D1 clock springs are different, they have less connections. Air bag ones should happily exchange.

Yes, I think that the ACE symbol is getting confused with the cruise control symbol, it had me going, especially with a fuzzy picture.

Maybe have a look in the wiring diagrams in RAVE, since it is only 2 wires and coloured, so you should be able to find what it is.
