    D2A TD5 Voltage - is this normal?

Keep forgetting to ask this question.
I have my Nanocom permanently in place in instrument mode. The voltage normally reads a little above 14V, BUT can oscillate between about 13.9 and 14.5 at very quick (second/s) intervals in normal driving. Is this normal?

    Cheers

At startup mine runs at 14.1V and then drops down to 13.5ish after a while, Even with the 9" spotties and the lightbar running.

Cheers. Mine does similar, but it is the cycling up and down by the second as you travel along that intrigues me and I'd like comment/reassurance on.

If the the engine speed and electrical load are constant on a straight road while that oscillation occurs it is not normal IMO... can be a weak contact somewhere on the circuit or regulator missbehaviour

The voltage regulator doing its job. However if the dash lights pulse etc then time for an alternator rebuild or replace.

Have a good look at all the connections, Hopefully it is just a loose connection.

Dual batteries with Traxide 160, but did it before I fitted the second battery ie done it for 4 years at least. I suspected Sierrafery above may have been on the money, before reading JCs post. No pulsing etc with dash lights.
About to do the Canning stock Route so wanted to be sure.

Normally run ad much as 14.6 in cold conditions then down to mid 13s when weather is hot. If this is the regular it should be ok.
