and yeah on the bump/compression stroke is where i would want to be able to adjust, i am surprised there is no double adjustable's available but
You would be wanting under 200pd considering no bar or winch.

Not about the brand, its about the specs!
Exactly , kings are a limited range though.

I really appreciated the Dobinson springs and single wall Bilstein shocks on the badly corrugated roads of Cape York. Cheers

Totally agree with the Dobinson's and Bilsteins. I had that set up in my old 93RRC and it was the best riding vehical I've ever had by far. I'm trying to replicate the ride in my Soft Dash RRC at the moment. I've got the air springs and and Bilsteins and it's close but not there yet. (I haven't got the full EAS going yet just got shroder valves on the springs)

Funny story with my old 93. I was givng a mate a lift home from work one day in Sydney, and going down his street in Homebush they had those big flat top speed bumps. So cruising down the street at 50 odd Ks or so, I didn't even slow down for the bump, didn't even think about slowing down. Then I hear a scream from the passanger seat and arms going everywhere grabbing on to the dash, the jeasus bar and screaming at me to slow down! I met these screams with bemusement as we rode smoothly over the speed bump still at speed and hardly felt it. My mate still panting for breath said if he went over a speed bump at that type of speed he'd be bounched through the roof... Any takers for guessing what kind of car he drove???? TOYOTA HILUX of course..

Your bilstiens will be valved wrong for the eas, unless you have had them revalved.

As for dobo's, when i was making recent spring enquiries, they were the same rate as kings (1pd difference), but much shorter, i found them useless to deal with over the phone as well.

I drove a brand new triton recently and honestly it made me miss my horse and cart. chiropractors must love them.

I have got Bog standard springs/shockies on the front end of my D2 and I got Wyatt's in Geraldton to convert the rear air suspension to springs for me.
I have No idea what type of springs/shockies were used to replace the air bags But the ride although a bit stiffer isn't THAT much rougher than the SLS system.

As for bumps and ride comfort goes maybe lower your tyre pressures and change your driving style (Slow down a bit) will help

Another story, (yes slow day at work) So this is when I had my D2, I started work at a ship yard up here in Cairns that has their yard split in half by a public road. So they have to drive up to 600T of ship travel lift across the road from one side of the yard to the other. This makes some rather large depressions in the ashvalt road where the huge tyres run back and forth. So driving the D2 down the road at 60Ks you can feel them but really no big deal, thought nothing of it.

Then I drove the work ute, (a Triton duel cab tray back V6 that makes Rover V8s fuel useage seem frugle), out the gate and started down the road for the first time blissfully unaware of what was about to happen. Anyway hit the dips at about maybe 40Ks, bugger me, the car bounced off the ground and me off the seat and I hit my head on the roof and stoved my neck in and my back suffered as well .

So I hated that car and got rid of it as soon as I could. But replaced it with another Triton it's the company policy to have Mitsubishi fleet vehicles. This one's a lot better, Diesel duel cab with a full styleside. Still crap though.

Marketing? what marketing? JustinC told me the exact same words when we fitted them,, They are crap. I still PM him every so often just to remind him that 15K down the road later and I still find the adjustability great and they are a pleasure to ride on. Its amazing how people dont like things that are different,,

About 10 or so years ago they were huge, marketed everywhere, everyone was buying them, and having them die! My inlaws got some for their disco, between melbourne and broome, 1 way, they went through 3 sets!! All replaced under warranty.
Probably fine if you don't go off road
