    Coolant change

    I am thinking its about time i did a coolant change on my Disco2 td5, is there any videos of how to do it properly, and where all the drain plugs are , and when empty the best coolant to use, I had the garage change mine last time and have no idea what thy used, that was around 20 thousand km ago

    its usually a time thing, though I'm sure its in the service requirements
    The oat stuff is supposedly good for 5 years(one of the reasons LR used it)

    If you have the red coolant, (OAT) x2 on 5 years between changes.

    pretty easy job.

    there is a drain plug on the lower metal pipe (I think hose runs from it to the thermostat) on drivers side.

    Refill and use the bleeder screw on the top hose to bleed the air out at idle etc. there will be details around about it.

    If you are not sure how long it has been since it was changed, you could do a refill with demineralised water to make sure you get most of the old stuff out. As simply dumping it as above wont necessarily drain it all. Then dump it and refill with the red stuff.
