    Fibreglass replacement goodness

Thought I'd share my good experience with fibreglass replacement parts available on evil bay. Mainly because they aren't cheap, and being offshore could be dodgy, but to my surprise fit and last and are heaps tougher than the plastics they replace. I fitted there plenum panel more than a year ago and have just now fitted their instrument binnacle. Very happy. They sell a few other bits as well for landys.

Rangje if I recall correctly it might have been that people wanted plenum chamber covers that let air in and the glass ones didn't?

I'm up for a new binnacle soon so this looks like a very cost effective option. How did you go drilling the 2 screw holes on the front? Any tips on aligning them in the right position?CheersSteve

Unlike the plenum covers that were not suitable because it didn't allow fresh air to be drawn in, I do like the idea of a fibreglass pinnacle cover, even if it requires some work to get switch gear to fit properly etc. Cheers

In the moulding process, the indentation I'd evident, drill them out and a bit longer bolt with a washer, all good.

The fibreglass is quite thick, if you want that air going through, I recon a bit of drilling wouldn't be a problem. I didn't bother, no issue.
