Thread: Auxilary socket aka accessory socket not working.

    Auxilary socket aka accessory socket not working.

    If I have the name correct. It's the cigar lighter socket in the load space (boot) The handbook says fuse 32 for the accessory socket. The fuse is ok, I swapped it into fuse 15, the cigar lighter. I do not see an auxilary socket listed in the handbook fuse pages.
    Where to from here? Am I looking at the correct fuse?

    The ignition has to be on, i.e. one position from start.
    If you don't like trucks, stop buying stuff.

    +1 ^^^ F32 is corret for that socket and yes, it works only with ignition on cos it's through the auxiliary circuits relay... if no joy with ignition on and all the other aux systems are working we'll speak then

    Thanks for the replys. To confirm, the ignition is on position 1 and the radio and front socket work.

    Use a multimeter and see what's missing in that socket, the live or the earth

    Problem solved

    I removed the accessory socket and found a non Land Rover, fairly heavy duty black and red cable plugged in to the rear of the unit. The standard Land Rover connector was hanging loose. I swapped over the connectors and I now have power to the socket.
    I guess that the heavy duty one went to where the second battery was (under the bonnet). Another guess for a fridge.
