    Ok, thanks for then info, but mine beening 1999 you can't reflash the ecu, so I can't touch any of that, so I just thought it was odd that the disco had an boost controller on, if it is better I'll keep it on

    MSB ECU's can be rechipped without too much problem - not quite as straight forward as uploading a remap but in some ways it is less fraught.

    But for simple and easy a manual boost controller is a decent way to set maximum boost.

    Ok so how do I set max boost? Leave the wastegate rod in the stock level and turn it up on the tee piece?

    That would be the way to do it.

    There are limits to how far you can go: 142kPa boost or 242kPa MAP which ever comes first.

    Yes, 13 is correct.

    Ok I'll try that and see how it goes hopefully I get close to 20ish PSI

    20psi is roughly 138kPa so you should be ok.
