    Tidying up after EGR removal

Finally installed the EGR bypass kit in my D2a this weekend, but there is a lot of now redundant junk left under the bonnet

The engine version I have has the EGR cooler and two EGR control valves.

Am I right that the vaccume pipe that goes between the EGRR control valves is just a vent line for the valves and can be removed and the port on the airbox blocked?

also there is a T in the vaccume line going to the brake unit can this be replaced with a straight connector

This will then allow me to remove both the valves and all the vac pipe.

As for the cooler unit I guess this can be removed as well and the hoses blanked off at their end points.

Anyone see a problem with doing this

    Header tank

It's cleaner and neater to get rid of the header tank and replace it with an earlier one that does not have the extra pipe.

    Cheers

    Tidying up after EGR removal

Just removed mine this weekend, all coolant lines from the oil cooler (blank off with a 19mm end cap)
EGR to expansion tank is a 10mm cap.
Also removed the pipe from behind the engine, need to cut to fully remove and to make life easier get the fuel coolers out of the way first.

PITA to do but removes 6 joints that ca leak!!

Not sure about the other parts as already gone when I brought it

    Cheers Lemo
