    Taking off a wheel?

How the heck do you remove the nut covers?

    Taking off a wheel?

With the nut cover removal tool in the rectangular tool kit from the back of the car. Helpful?

    Looks like this http://www.allfourx4.com.au/epages/s...kaAngPEALw_wcB

I assume also that you mean how to get the cover off the security nuts, not the standard nuts. You're on your own with the latter....

Before I got rid of the stupid locking nuts I would just put a socket on them and spin/wriggle the covers off.

You can get the covers off Leaves a 25mm IIRC. You aren't supposed to though, even though they are a pain for getting stuck in your socket.

Try putting a socket over the cover and pulling/wriggling the cover off.
Once you get the lock nuts off I recommend you ditch the lock nuts and replace them with normal nuts.

IIRC, the lock nut covers have a depression in the middle.
