Cheers fella...... I'll get some better pics in the daylight tomorrow for you, was a fairly big build (more effort than I was expecting) but very much worth it in the end! I didn't take any pics during the build process but happy give you some tips on do's and dont's as I went wrong a few times before the final finished model you see...haha

Once power feeds out of the inverter just treat it like household wiring! I've fused & switched the inverter 12v side
That’s what I was worried you would say! Mate, you’ve got to rework this!!!!

It’s not the same at all, and that install is not compliant / legal - and bloody dangerous...

You need a Double Pole (switches Active & Neutral) GPO in a vehicle... and I’d suggest an RCD/RVD back at the inverter or you can turn your entire vehicle live... risking your family and in a MVI any potential rescuers...

Think we maybe crossed here or I may have missed the install question......

Cheers for the comments, - this is a detailed description of the setup and wiring regarding just the inverter:-

600w pure sinewave inverter is wired to the rear batteries via 50amp cable, fused internally, positively switched (only on when in use due to power usage) & fused at the rear switches. (main feed from batteries running 40amp RCD)
From inverter (single 240v aus socket on inverter) - 10amp mains cable (household) wired into RCD plug, wired into normal switched double 10a socket (household)

Yes I'm a diy'er in regards to the electrics but very savvy and google happy...haha....from the research I've done, with the very limited power needs and my setup this is more than ample to not, as you say kill me, my family and any poor unsuspecting rescue workers,,,

You still need Double Switching GPOs otherwise the Neutral remains live...

Afraid I'm missing you fella on this one, Neutral remaining live,,,,,

with either a single or double pole switch both the live & Neutral remain 'live' as you say in the cable running to the socket all the time the inverter is powered on (within my setup), the only reasoning for the setup I have is a repositioning of the inverters plug so to speak, having switches on said sockets was mearly a case of I wanted a black socket and they happened to be switched! The switches play no part in my setup from a safety point of view as I control the inverter just the same way as any one else, turning the inverter on via its switch when its needed and turning it off by its switch when not.

I in no way need a double pole or even a single pole switch at the sockets as mine is wired or running as it will not change what your saying at all.

With the reasoning you give, if I was to have an inverter with something plugged into it directly and I had an accident then my whole car could still become live and kill everyone in site,.......

Cheers fella.....The rad was thorough a friend's friend, got it cheap as he had bought it but sold the car so another one to tick of the bargain list on my kinda budget build...haha.....as far as I'm aware it was from a melbourne based company but nothing on the rad from what I could see so afraid can't help much there, I only replaced as I was doing a fair bit under bonnet and I snapped the little return nipple on the factory rad so figured I'd go all ally as the plastic ends on the original rad just don't look up to the job after a few years plus the alloy rads have a better cooling efficiency so I removed the clutch fan and replaced with an electric thermo fan that only kicks in when needed!

Congratulations Rosco what a great build you have done, everything including the kitchen sink, well the taps there anyhow.
Did you way up the pro's and con's of towing a camper trailer versus your all in one setup, you must be getting close to the GVM by the time you fit your personal stuff in and a couple of adventurers.

The only "show stoppers" you haven't mentioned are the tailshafts but i'm sure you checked these when underneath.
