    Turbo Intake Hose

    Hello Discoverers,

my 2002 manufactured intake hose between MAF and turbo inlet is getting a bit sad, wondering if anyone has installed the silicone version sans bellows:
Discovery TD5 Air Intake Hose Blue - AlliSport
and what the outcome was? Bellows necessary for engine movement, or silicone has enough flex?

    genuine part is esr4234

I know of one member who has installed the following. Land Rover Discovery 2 TD5 2.5 Boost Hose Kit. 1998-2004 | Roose Motorsport
They did comment that if they were to order them again, they would ask that the air box to turbo hose be 25mm longer and the turbo to intercooler too -just for comfort sake. But they have had them for a few years without dramas.
I had that part copied down, so cannot remember which member it was. I saw a picture of their hose in the “show is your D2” section and messaged them. Mine is breaking down too, so it’s on the list for replacement.

    Cheers, Josh

I have these swell and had the opposite problem - they were too long (35mm or so) and had to be cut down which I didn't like or appreciate given the price. I don't feel that the MAF to turbo hose is exactly right either.

I would recommend trying the Alisport one instead.
