Was fixed and now its not

So i ended up getting the motor replaced on the window and had it working fine.....until last night so it stopped working again. So it lasted 2 months and now back to same problem. Can hear the click when i press the window button but no movement. all other windows work fine except for the drivers window. Any suggestions?

I'd begin tracing the wiring for chafing. But do the battery thing as per the earlier post, first. If the motor has carked it, you may get it replaced under warranty. If it was a Britpart one, you may want to get a credit instead and buy a proper one.

    Thanks for the suggestion Pedro_the_swift

so i took off the door card and slowly started going through everything to find the problem
started off borrowing a multi meter and checking that the motor was getting power which it was which meant the switch was fine
and your suggestion did actually work once i loosened the bolts and give it a little shake it did in fact start working again
though after having it go up and down a few times and tighten the bolts back up stopped again...hmm strange well at least the window motor works
ok next i looked at the rollers in the track since everyone said this is a very common cause but they looked fine
so too the whole regulator and motor out tested the motor which worked fine again
then i took the arms out of the slide rail to inspect the rollers further and found that there was a flat spot on one of the wheels which was causing it to stick and of course overload the motor hence it not working
gave them a bit of a file and crc as a temporary fix and once back in worked again perfectly

will order in some new ones and swap them out as my fix will not last forever. though for anyone else having window problems maybe just check that even though the rollers may not be broken they may have flat spots

ive seen on a few threads about the brass replacement ones does anyone know how they are fitted as the current nylon ones seem pretty well fixed on there

I bought a new regulator assembly off Mario for under $40, plus freight. At that price, why bother fixing them?
