Question Rain rail leak above top left of front windscreen

So I've followed the TB and packed underneath the front windscreens top finisher seal with silicone. I still have a drip in heavy rain:

The water seems to be coming from just slightly above the top of the windscreen:

I assume it's therefore the rain rail where the roof and body are joined. I've smeered some silicone over this too but it hasn't resolved it:

Has anyone removed the old sealant from there and packed it with fresh?

I've been driving around without a headlining in for a couple of months now trying to resolve the water leaks and this is my last one!

If the sealant has cracked, it will be a hairline and hard to see. Use Sikaflex 227, rather than silicon, as it will stick like monkey p@@ to the metal and lasts longer before degrading. Its also flexible so won't crack with age.
Get the freshest 227 that you can and store leftover in the fridge. Only has a short shelf life (12 mths?).

Thanks Nick, but that's the TB that I was referring to:

Carried out, can't get any more silicone in behind there!

Do you have a roof arial or racks as a leak though any of those fixings will run down to the left hand corner where you are getting the leak.

I have a roof rack mounted on the car on the rain rails. Not going through it's unlikely to be the source of the leak but might be the cause of the leak from the weight bearing on the vehicles rain rails.

I have previously removed the factory roof rail bars, cleaned the mounts, siliconed and refitted. I'm currently driving around with the headlining out and can confirm by sight that these are not leaking.

    leaks

Had similar with mine but it was on the other side so it stuffed the fuse box again. I had to replace the windscreen and after pulling it out ( what a job that was ) found numerous rust holes. So bit the bullet and rubbed it back around the windscreen face cut out the rusted bits , welded in new metal to patch. The worst holes were up the top of the screen and half way down the drivers side and where the water drains from the plenum channel. Fixed it all rust protected both inside and out undercoated and repainted it before putting the new screen in. Turned out pretty good. You cant see to holes until the screen is out and then be prepared for a shock. Took me a couple of day to do the job and a lend of the son in laws mig and a can of paint from supercheap. Good luck

Removed and replaced windscreen last year as broke the original while prying the top seal back to fill. Was fine behind so don't think that's my issue.

A bit of an update as I found the internal leak point now after having some time today to have a bit of a play. I took off the two foam pieces and soaked the external roof above with water for five of so minutes. After a further 5 or so minutes it was dripping inside. The water is running along the seam of the two pieces (you can see the darker black line) from where the bog is. At first I thought the bog might have been a previous repair but I checked the other side and it is identical - I assume therefore a factory fitment. Externally this seems to like up with the end flap of the front window top finisher seal - but I have already carried out the TB and packed behind there with silicone...

Not sure if maybe the roof rack weight has caused some of the issue:

Maybe all that weight on the roof has caused it to "Flex" and crack the factory seal and the water is just following the seam down to the windscreen.
