    Discovery 2 Radiator leak

Hi, I changed my radiator last weekend on my td5 discovery 2 and the 2nd radiator is leaking slowly at the bottom right corner. So i was wondering if i can put the radiator block stuff in and see if that fixes it?

    Thanks

The radiator leak stuff or even Pepper is great for getting you out of a tight spot and back to civilisation But as a long term fix Not so much.
A brand new genuine radiator is $350-$400 which is considerably less than a new head for a TD5 or any other problem an overheating D2 will cost you.
Cheap fixes generally end up costing you more money than doing the job properly 99% of the time

+1, don't use that sealing stuff if you want to keep the vehicle, read this D2 TD5 Radiator replacement OEM or full alloy? i wish i could find so cheap a full alloy rad around here

IMO the alloy one which is 150AUD cheaper is at least as good enough

But what about if your TD5 runs a bit hot?
My LSE runs at 88-92 around town, but on a 30 degree day on flat ground at 110 kmph warms up to 104 degrees. Would not be game to pull my big caravan on the open road with those sorts of temps. EGTs are about 400 degrees, but the probe is not in the hottest temp spot.

Dog my cats if i undertand why you said that after my statement about the alloy rad which in any case would provide better cooling

I've just fitted an alloy radiator to my TD5 D2 (45mm in lieu of standard 38mm), and it seems to run a couple of degrees cooler, but the real test will come in a couple of weeks when I tow the caravan.
