Apparently the crank has been bent? Sent the head off to see if it can be salvaged and then replace the crank and a bunch of other stuff. Otherwise it needs a new engine! Anyone had any experience finding a second hand engine?

    Exhaust gasket?

Passenger side up high, could it be the exhaust gasket leaking.

Get a piece of garden hose and use it as a stethoscope, the noise will sound loudest nearer to the problem and you won't get your ear burned.

This will let you know if it is internal just where the noise is loudest, front back left or right.

Water pump, air conditioner fan belt, just don't put it on a moving object.

    Cheers

    Mike

    Hello JohnTD5

    Isn't the
Centrifugal "spinner" oil filter, making a clicking sound?
When I've changed my turbo, I heard a lot the "spinner" (only when I turned the engine off).

like this: Centrifugal filter Disco TD5 - YouTube

Just change it , Nothing to be worried.

    Cheers,

    RP
