It will be worth more in parts than as a whole. But it is a hassle parting it out too.
On another note, why would it be the new business owners problem to fix the last business owners stuff up?
My D2 transmission saga has come to an end, with VCAT finding that the new owner of the business is not liable for work done by the previous clown.
I am not currently in a position to afford or even want to pay for another transmission. So, do I keep it until I am, or do I part it out? I doubt I'd get much for it if I sold it as is. It is straight ( apart from where the aforementioned clown backed his trailer into the RHR door ), The TD5 runs well, and in general it was a good car.
I'm pretty disillusioned by this experience, and I have quite a lot else to worry about now, so I'm finding it difficult to make a decision.
2000 D2 TD5 auto, lifted and chipped. SLS removed but the compressor is still there. Third row seats removed. Roughly 300,000 km.

Because he bought the business with the car there. He did work on the car. He is still trading under the same name. The car is in the possession of that business. In truth though, the reason I had to try and get him to VCAT was that the previous guy is unable to be found in a business sense. He has not had an ABN since 2006. I most certainly did not like having to drag the new bloke to VCAT, but that was the advice I had.
