Hey guys,
First post here but have been around in the background acquiring knowledge for a few months.
I'm looking to change out my 16inch alloys on my 2a platinum with a set of steelies with muddies for off-road use.
I've come across some rims off an Amarok with the same PCD, close offset but smaller centre bore diameter. (65.1 Amarok , 70.1 disco)
Question is, is there any leeway in the centre bore diameter.. Ie , would the Amarok rim fit?
Cheers 👍
The Discovery wheels actually locate on the centre hub,, the wheel nuts just hold it on--
probably a load rating difference too??

Cheers lads,
The thing that now confuses me is all websites list the Land Rover centre bore are 70.1mm but I just measured my spare wheel and the internal diameter is 65.1mm?? 🤔
Hi,
last year when at a major 4wd service centre in Broken Hill they had an Amarok on the hoist and said they had been waiting ages for new wheels for it as they have found they tend to crack easily on our outback roads--they had had a few do this. So even if they did fit your car maybe make sure they are strong enough. Alan
Dynamic sell rims to suit the D2a. I use a set on my car with a slightly wider offset, i cannot remember what the offset is, but it is the smaller of the 2 choices. I wouldn't go any larger on mine as I have flares and they are inside and tires (265 75 R16) don't scrub.
I got steel rims for the same reason you did, but I've been 4WDing on them for 3 year and I'm not convinced it was necessary. In fact less weight might be helpful and less rolling mass might be better for the brakes.
