    No muffler...

Hi all , just wondering if anyone has run an exhaust on a Td5 no cat or muffler? Have removed the cat and was curious about the back half, maybe a hotdog or something. Will be 2.5" and I do recognise the roadworthy issues so will be offroad only.😉😉 . Cheers Brett

I've removed both the cat and centre muffler to reduce EGT's. It has a positive effect on the performance in regard to the turbo spooling slightly faster, but other than that it only results in a better sound and lower EGT's.

It is actually not super loud, but if highway driving a lot one might consider a hot dog. Some people have replaced the centre muffler with a high flow sports turbo muffler.

Drone was too much up hills, so hot dog where cat used to be and sounds sweet now.

I've been told that my TD5 with a straight through pipe sounds more like a V8. I disagree but then the bloke who said it wasn't an expert either

Straight through exhaust on my 110 td5 and the drone at 100kph was unbearable.
High flow muffler in and all good.
