What is CAN by the way?
Controller Area Network. It’s a message based protocol/standard that enables all the electronic components like the engine ecu, abs system, transmission etc to communicate with each other.

So one more thing to check.
Under the pax seat is the Auto ECU. The twisted pair CAN bus is connected to the Auto ECU (EATECU)
Pull the plug and clean and refit.
Check the pins for corrosion
Get the adjustment on your cable selector sorted anyway.
That ^^^ is correct and it's the general description of the CAN... when it comes to the D2 this term refers only to the data bus between the engine ECU and the autobox ECU(not present on manuals) and if some CAN fault code is logged in most cases it's about that pair of twisted wires, theyr's continuity or contact in the plugs.... rarely it's some software issueQuote:
