Td5 disco2 loss of power and blowing smoke

Hi guys. I was driving on the highway and noticed loss of power on hills and when put my foot on the gas pedal, noticed smoke coming out. Looking at the past discussions, it might either be maf sensor or oil in harness. Just checked the ecu plugs and all clean.
Would it be the maf sensor?
I'm half way thru to sydney from canberra and tossing up whether i return or continue. Rang nrma but not sure they might be of much help. Thanks.

    Check your turbo hoses.

Of course, you would probably hear it if one had gone or come off. Was the power loss sudden?

I've just noticed a flat section on the hose close to the radiator. Would this be the issue?

Coolant leak from where? Hard to see that causing your issue with power loss, but it definitely requires attention.

Word to the wise: do NOT rely on a D2 temp gauge. The thing gives precisely zero worthwhile info. Fit a low coolant/temp alert.

If a hose from the turbo to the intercooler had blown or come off then you would experience a power loss as you describe, but it would be reasonably rapid most likely. The hoses can delaminate internally and block as well. This can also cause loss of power and smoke.

Don't focus on the hoses alone based on what I said, it was simply the first thing that came to mind.

It shouldn't be the issue. That hose clamp looks loose though.

I'll wait and see if any wiser heads chime in.
