    D2 TD5 Door Locks

Brought a good 2000 TD5 recently which only had one problem, the remote will only open the drivers door. I can lock all the doors using the key and remote but it will not open them. Replaced the drivers door actuator, no change. So why can I lock all the doors using the key and remote and only open the drivers door with the key and remote? PS I do push the remote button twice.

Yep push it twice and all doors should open. If you have access to a nanocom you can change it to open all on first press

Go back a few years and that was a "security" feature. Imagine a station car park, late at night. You bop your key, the whole car unlocks and nasty people could jump in all the other doors. It was a selling point, apparently, until it was pointed out that all the said nasty people had to do was hit you on the head and take your keys and open the car for themselves.

As Bluetoes says, grab a nanocom and change it. Grab a nanocom for yourself. It will pay for itself pretty quickly.

Op says he does push twice, will the other doors open with the dash switch?, why did you change the drivers door actuator when it was the only one working? Just to clarify , it is the unlock button you're pushing twice, yes?

Put your ear on each door when you give the unlock command with the fob...if you hear any activity you'll have to replace all the actuators

Yes, the OP did say that. Mea culpa. I still believe that, barring some failure, that a nanocom would help. Enabling and then disabling Single Point Entry could clear it. Still, your question about the dash button is a good one.

Oh joy. Still, knowing you, you are probably correct.
