I have an Engine Watchdog model TM1 from Qld i think it was...aussie made!
ENGINE WATCHDOG Audible Engine Overheating Alarm, Gauge & Sensor
Hi all,
Doing some research into temp and low coolant alarms.
Didn't want to over spend on a Madman EMS as I don't need all that these offer, just want low coolant and temp.
So was looking at this Haydn Coolant Alarms - Low Coolant/TM-2 Combination Alarm - (Powered by CubeCart) combined unit. Around $330 delivered from UK
Any other offerings from Aust??
Cheers Lemo

Decided to go with the Watchdog TM1 and a low coolant from Dave's Shop works out to be the same price!!
Keep the money in Australia
Now I can't afford both at the moment so low coolant first??
Cheers Lemo

It was a detailed discussion some time ago where i sustained my case that IMO a coolant temp gauge/alarm is more important than a low coolant alarm cos if there is coolant loss the temperature will rise as well but there can be many cases of overheating without the coolant to drop(happened to me) ... that's quite common and in this case the low coolant alarm is useless cos you can drive it for long at 115*C coolant temp without even knowing it as the factory gauge climbs from the middle only at 120*C...and that's not ''healthy'' for the engine... i've had a coolant loss once at the oil cooler and i observed while driving that the ECT grew with 5*C from normal without forceing the engine so i stopped and saw the problem... so IMO coolant temp first all the time
