Crash cans bolt off and bolt on?

Just from experience. They are replaceable. ARB ( assuming etc. ) won't have them, but they can still make them. I paid around $150 each, but they would only sell them in pairs. I agree about letting insurance handle it, but not everyone is insured. If the other party is not, then claiming on yours will incur an excess, and possibly an 'adjustment' on your premium. $300 will seem cheap then.

Agree John, although many policies have no excess of not to blame and other party is known.

I think that some policies where you only have 3rd party ( to cover another) will even chase the other driver on your behalf for up to $3K if yours is hit and you know the other drivers details.
I have full comprehensive on all our vehicles and a lifetime no claim bous, I have never paid an excess if another driver was at fault and have not had premiums go up after a claim.

Here Pedro, just for you. This is the drivers side.

To the left there are the bolts for the tge steering guard. To the right, the bolts for the bull bar.

The air bags did not deploy. I am tokd the car got pushed back a metre or so.

That crash can looks to be in working order from the image.

Here you can see the drivers side. The damage to the bull bar and the passenger side with a car key for scale. The passenger side crush can looks the same as the drivers side.

The drivers side crush can look to be in good order and you say the passenger side crush can is the same.
Unless the bar has been twisted you can loosen the mounting bolts to reposition your bar without too much effort.

Have the crush cans compressed up the top in the bit that is not visible in the pictures? I ask as they look to be uncompressed in what can be seen.
