Crash cans bolt off and bolt on?

Here I am in Echuca, I get a phone call telling me that sone poor old sod has had a blackout, crossed over the centre line and hit the Ford falcon parked in in front of my car. I'm told that the bull bar has cosmetic damage. However the photos show the bull bar has moved back. So are the crush cans replaceable?

    Thanks

    Julian.

I would be interested in pics(who? me?) of the state of the cans,, and whether the bags went off,,
though if the ignition is not on,, would they deploy?

No ignition no deployment of airbags, also being stationary they shouldn't deploy

I’ll be home on Sunday. I’ll have a good look then.

    What brand of bar?

If ARB I'd recommend reading my thread from a few years ago at ARB Crush Cans

In Summary, in 2013 I was told by my local ARB dealer that the won't sell them separately, but the next dealer 220km could get them. The local automotive engineering repaired my old ones (pulled them out) when straitening a slight bend in the bullbar for me so I didn't push it and further and reassembled.

Fast forward four years later and the same local ARB dealer have ordered replacements in for me (I need to update that thread with part numbers and price for D2a for future interest) but advises that might be up to six month wait as they don't stock at the warehouse and won't manufacture them until a D2a bar goes down their assembly line and they'll just make more then so waiting for someone to order a new bullbar from ARB. As of 23 Nov 17 I am still waiting. I'm considering ordering an additional spare part as it's the second time now that I've bend them from fairly light hits.

Takes a very big impact to deploy D2 bags.

    Cheers

You can get them but Don’t even bother - get a new bar fitted under their insurance.

Their insurance will fix it. I’ll get a white one! I liked the look of yours.
    Mine is an ARB.
One odd thing is that the indicators are flashing fast, which I think means a globe has blown. Both sides have the fast flash.
