The alarm issue has been put on hold because of a split in the top radiator hose after some beach driving. The old girl got a lift home by NRMA. Sad face

Get a silicone hose kit if you can.

In our D1 if I locked it with the key in the door the alarm was off.

Thanks for the heads up on the hose kit. Did a bit of reading and noticed some people recommend genuine hoses then others recon silcone are the go.

If Td5 get the top hose with the improved bleed screw set up.

Got one from Mario on this forum, much better design and doesn't strip out and leak.

Silicone will last longer. I'm progressively replacing mine. So far I've done the turbo and intercooler hoses. Next will be the cooling system. They are widely available on Ebay.

    Locking with key

Also remember that if you lock it with just the key - not only will it disable the volumetric sensors - it also deadlocks the doors.
That way if you leave a dog in the car with the windows down - no one can reach in and open the doors from the inside.

With my blue heeler you don't even need to lock the doors!

The bolded part from above is valid ONLY if the setting in the BCU was changed to nr.3 cos the factory setting is 4.

There are four configurations for super locking:1. No super locking.
    2. Super locking on single handset press only (no key activated super locking).
    3. Super locking on single handset press or single key turn.
    4. Super locking on double handset press or double key turn.
