The standard brakes are just that and it has nothing to do with how fast one drives and i did not say they were insufficient .
The reason some want better brakes has a lot to do with personal choice yeah !
The reason i went with Delios made it stand out off road in my opinion as i felt the T/C worked so much better , The hill decent felt better all this is my opinion you work it out for your self .
Also my brakes do not fade as quickly as the standard brakes did with frequent heavy use towing or not.
So if you drive your 4.6 v8 like a Granny down the toowoomba range towing a 2 ton van and you are happy with your standard brakes that is fine
Want a discussing on towing as i have done that range many a time in a semi over the years
Pedro can't be doing too much wrong, he's still here and still upright. IIRC, he's also descended Brown Mountain, again still here, still upright.
Are you one of the blokes who comes down Toowoomba, using the brakes?

Yes the slotted rotors do look "Flash" But because the original setup does the job for me I will be sticking to it

This is fine as no one is forcing anyone to upgrade their brakes if you are happy with your standard brakes that is fine stick with them

Quite a few here have upgraded to one brand or another slotted or not for their own personal reasons .
But slotting brakes are just not for the flash looks they do actually serve a purpose that some want or need and it is not only for speed related reasons .
You can actually buy Delio`s rotors and other brands that are not slotted if that tickles your fancy

But I don't think delio is able to order Chinese rotors to its standards. It has no bargaining power. Delio can only go to the market and choose a product that fits it's standard.

How many rotors can delio sell per year?
There are only 22 million people living in Australia. 25million living in Beijing alone.

Say delio going to place an order from a Chinese rotors company. Based on the order size, delio is only a very small client.RDA is probably bigger...DBA is probably even a slightly more important client? but none will be V.I.P. they probably place the order via an agent. Just like what 4wdsupacenter does

A certain Aussie company sells patrol engine rebuild kit and sometimes this company bashes ebay or Chinese products....The irony is their engine rebuild kit is made in China. Not that he told the Chinese manufacturers how to make this kit. But he simply purchase them at a wholesell price. I know the guy CNC those products.
I'm think there are only 2 major manufacturers of brake rotors in China. I was approached in unsolicited emails a few times by various Chinese brake manufacturers a few times offering their services. When i checked their credentials they were all from the same address just using different contact names and company names. So it makes me think they are drop shipping from another

The delios rotors are quite good quality looking at the vent hole castings compared to some other rotors, so the casting has better quality control.

Nah, I'll stick with known high quality rotors and pads. I got over 160K out of the D1 and they were still serviceable.

I had a really long conversation with Todd, the owner of Delios last year.

All the finishing is done here, the cast iron used is supposedly to his specs.

He tests here on a brake dyno as well as on car and is working with a local pad manufacturer (QFM) to provide a package, and the rotors are compatible with ceramic type pads.

We talked mu (friction co-efficients) QC, core shift, etc, as I'd been involved in testing and using AP Racing and DBA rotors, and Ferodo Racing, Hawk, Performance Friction/Carbon Metallic, Mintex and something else (too long ago now!) pads of various compounds.

I really like DBA, they are an excellent product. Not all of DBA's rotors are cast here.
One of our forum members is a tech at a major brake specialist and they use mostly RDA rotors, which AFAIK are cast OS.
Brembo have a foundry in China too that supplies OE and aftermarket rotors.
