I don't think rad stop leak can work properly for a head gasket pressure leak anyway.
The stuff relies on being forced into the leak and then solidifying.
With a compression leak the flow is from the cylinder INTO the water jacket the stop leak can't get into the leak.
I have used the stuff for leaks from the cooling system out to atmosphere - that works ok.

No idea, was done by the previous owner before they had the head replaced

Only hope of head gasket repair via stopleak is to remove pressure at that cylinder eg: remooving apark plug/injector

I have had reasonable results from Repco stop leak which made a big diff in the v8 weaping around the usually places.
Other brands not the same success.
used it for 2 years before getting the heads done.

    Stop leak..

I almost choked, the black stuff reminded me of what I found. The former owner of my D2 was “stopping” oil leaks, fuel and air leaks with black (glue)sealant. Here is a example when I overhauled the fpr (and fuel lines high and low pressure).

I tend to believe that no “stop leak” should be used. Just fix the problem that is causing the leak.
