no wonder you find that hard......anyone would, unless they had 2 mouths

good write up , Lemo's north american cup holders are the go ( adjust your hand brake next service Lemo :-)

for the water bottle in the door pockets you can , with the aid of a heat gun , mould the pockets to suit

I think the d2 is under rated , the d3 is more prone to electrical issues than d2, also the td5 once sorted is way stronger than the 2.7 , my own d2 in its current state of tune will out accelerate even a remapped d3 as well as any V8 diesel Landcruiser except a remapped 200 series, but I'm not finished developing it yet, the engine has done 325000 k without the head off ( 65000 in its current tune and I still only get a tablespoon of oil out the provent every 10000k ) , yes Iv'e had a remapped d3 but sold it as the d2 is more fun , not as delicate, and I want to /do go remote travelling , while the d3/d4 can do it in comfort , there are certain things with those engines that , if fail , are a show stopper ( crank bearings come to mind as well as a few others ) I have to do an engine replacement on one in a couple of weeks , not a pleasant job (even with a hoist)
I'm sure to face a barrage for this , so just let me say it's only my humble opinion

I can't remember JF,, why did you go to the D2 from the D3?
    To make long story longer,
When the family moved back to Doomadgee to be where I worked we figured we did not need 2 cars any more.
Within 3 months of selling the D3 we decided, as I was constantly driving kids to & from doctors & boarding schools on the East Coast, that we really did need 2 cars.
In the intervening years since we purchased the D3 new (2009) our financial situation has changed & we thought a good D3 or D4 was out of our price range.
    Hence the D2a!

Every D2 should have the NAS cup holders fitted, they are great.

Smokestone (Grey) are still available STC53156LPW | CUP HOLDER PAIR DARK SMOKESTONE DISCOVERY 2 | Land Rover | | Britcar (UK) Ltd

But the black ones are now obsolete. I fitted the smokestone ones to my black interior D2a and they don't look out of place.

Yes, a bit silly though & you would have thought someone at LR might have thought a button to slow down with CC might have been a good idea?

    How are you anyway?

I will look into those U-beut cup holder. Look the goods.

Got my "Sand Grabber" mats yesterday, unfortunately the D2 is in Mt Isa, I lent it to my Assistant Manager to take a weeks leave so he could drive down the back road & not trash his Crumodore. Is that road ever rough at the moment!

Yep, compared to my Fairlane of the same year, the CC and trip computer are positively crude.
