Start by getting into the ECU and changing it from auto to manual, otherwise it's looking for the signals from the auto.

    Hi Eevo.
No problem , just a dreaded fear of the auto crapping itself in the middle of nowhere, if that happens may as well set fire to it where it sits as the cost of transport and repair would be scarey and I prefer a manual anyway.

Maybe if you had your auto serviced and checked out it would be far easier/cheaper than the conversion to Manual.
You can also bugger up the clutch in a manual in the middle of nowhere and face the exact same transport repair issues.

You need to replace the centre console as the auto one is different to the manual one.
