I haven't had a problem with my harmonic balancer (touch wood) But if I did I would be looking at a genuine LR replacement for it.

I believe the LR ones are not the original I have the Ross Balancers prototype on my truck and it has been faultless for 2 maybe 3 years and 100,000 km

The Td5 HB is obsolete from Land Rover, so aftermarket or secondhand are the only options.

I replaced the one on my D2 recently with a Powerbond from Precision International initially intended as a maintenance item but was just starting to make a noise at 250K km, and would you believe last week the RRC one went, with under 200K km. First one cost about $340, and the current price is $383.06. My understanding is that they can last a lot longer, but not for me.

Neither have we sold heaps Dayco power bond, but had 1 fail after 2000kms the other day. It gave way in the centre metal bits, they would slip there. The rubber was still intact. Must have been unlucky with it.

Mine let go in a big way couple of years ago, I have a thread somewhere?.

after lots of research and not wanting to have another disinter grate ( mine cracked throu the metal fingers) I went with the Ross as it is supposed to be the best and alleviate all the previous issues.

no complaints so far all good, ring around on pricing as it will vary.

    Good luck with it.

    cheers Chris
