I've never heard of it in Aus. Is that from road salt?
Hello All, my first time on here.
Have had the car since two years old (its a 2003 in Zambezi Silver 737) and just had my first advisory to say that we have a bit of rust (thanks Mr Salty) to both inner wings.
Has anyone either replaced or patched up. Im just looking at the how to and what to watch out for. Thanks in advance.
Rgds

I saw your post on d2bc, you will get better answers from there as there is more chance it has been done there before.
Rust isn’t an issue in Aus like it is in the UK. Chassis last forever, and the rest of the steel body frame lasts even longer.
The picture shows the condition of mine after I removed the outer skin (Incident with a tree) The brown colouring is actually red outback dust not rust.

Cheers Guys, yes its good old road salt that caused it...many tonnes go down each year. I posted on D2BC earlier but my system went down and only just came back up. Ill repost it again.
Think if i can get some material and not a pre-made panels then ill shape and try do it myself. Thanks for the input.
Cheers again

How much rust? Surface only? Wire brush it off and repaint?
