    Whats your D2/D2a TD5 weigh?

Put my 2003 D2a HSE on the weigh bridge this afternoon. Just shy of 2,700kg with a full petrol tank. According to Redbook, the kerb weight is 2,220kg so the 33" tyres on steel wheels, roof rack, driving lights, bullbar, winch, underbody protection, steel rear bar, etc. have added up to a lot...

With a GVM of 2880kg that only leaves 180kg for passengers and any other gear. A bit scary really.

    Cheers

2061 to 2220 kg kerb weight is standard. Not that heavy, really. But don't the extras we all like to put on, add a bit of pork!

Precisely my point... the d2 has about half the braking performance of the tdv8 l322 and no where near the dynamic suspension systems etc of the rangie.... food for thought?

What have they done to improve D2 brakes?

Mt TD5 auto with ARB bar, cargo barrier and dog came in at 1.1t front and 1.2t rear.

    Now empty it was 2.4t
    Cheers
