    Front mud flap instal problem.

I have bought two mud fl;aps for the front. I have since found out that I need a mounting kit. The mounting kits only come with the mud flaps. I am think of making the mounting plates using some cadcam as in cardboard assisted design cardboard assisted manufacture. If any one has a pattern for these I'd like to borrow it.

if the mounting kit only comes with the mudflaps then how did you buy them with out them, or were they second hand?

Replacement mud flaps fit the rear and the front. I bought one to replace the rear one, that for some odd reason fell off on a track near Erica. And bought a pair to put on the front.

I put bigge rones on the back and put the backs on the front.
It is easy to make brackets out of gal sheet.
It just takes a few bends so you don't need to go to the trouble of cad/cam.
There are captive bolts for them in the floor so just get a bit of cardboard and cut it to shape then copy on gal sheet heavy enough to take a knock.
The only tricky bit is that the floor slopes.

Amazing how well that Cardboard Aided Design works. I've made a firewall for a race car and a sort of tonneau/load cover for a Commodore wagon using that technique.
