yep , as jimgee stated re , number 5 having no glow plug except that when I posted that, I wasn't aware he had cranked it by hand as the line below read something like " So pulled the glow plugs and it cranked over" , before it was edited ,
cheers

With your oil and filters you have 2 choices (1) replace filters and buy 8 litres of oil, or (2) buy 20 litres of oil and change twice with no filters, do the second change after you are happy with how it’s running.
Your fuel leak could be the oring sitting in the wrong groove but check the bore in the head for cracks also when the injector is out.
Jimgee , you have done well, Grasshopper.
Putting the oring in the wrong groove is pretty common.
Many mechanics make at least one mistake doing a big job, that is why they road test.
I wouldn't worry about the copper washers being a bit loose. They seal on a raised ridge on the injector head about 1-1.5Mm from the shaft. I used LR branded orings and washers as I have read they are the best and worth the much extra money.

Ok so I took a couple of days off as had other things to do and this has taken a good chunk of time so far.
Anyway, you guys nailed it, I had put the oring on the wrong groove on 3. Checked all the others - they were ok. And yes can see that the copper washers had sealed.
So going to order some new washers, new filters and new rocker shaft bolts (figured they've been used at least twice now and don't want any more problems), new oil and should be good for test run mk II.
Thanks again for the input of everyone here, so useful and also encouraging. Was worried for a bit there!
Will post next update in a week once parts arrive.
Good outcome. The AULRO brains trust do it again. 👍👍👍

So good news. Replaced all the washers. Ensured the orings were correct. Put it all back together and joy of joys she is running again! Little bit of smoke but not much and seems to have reduced after ticking over for 15 minutes. Went for a quick run around the block but no more as bonnet and lights etc are still off. Initial signs good people! Fingers crossed for the long run now...
Thanks again for all the input. Quite literally couldn't have done it without you...
Well done !
