assuming you have already de-egr , de-cat and mid muffler delete, then what you need is:
bigger more efficient intercooler.
at the least , an upgraded chra .
excessive pressure is just wasted energy without cooling and flow, doing the above will have a domino effect on lowering egt , boost and IAT
yes, 100 degrees is too hot
yes 550-600 egt is very conservative
That's going off i do not know where his egr probe is.
If it is at the head to gasket flange yep conservative but with wanting it reliable your really only looking at 50 deg extra, if its after the turbo you wouldn't want much hotter, not with alloy pistons and reliability, there not trucks with steel piston crowns that can handle 800 deg after the turbo and not fail
I fail to see the point in having a tune that makes good power but you have to back off on a long pull cause its got excessive heat, it's great for the traffic light races and useless when you actually want that power imo, if i am on a hill towing and have enough power to pull it why would i want to get out of the throttle and loose speed you may as well have a tune where you don't lift off cause you end up in the same boat just dont have to watch an extra guage
A stock turbo trying to make that boost no matter what you do your intake temps will be too hot at those boost level's, a stock turbo is about junk after 20 psi just starts making too much heat for long pulls of full power, the chra turbo is still a stock turbo its improved but the wheels are still the same so its still running excessive rpm, you need to drop the rpms of the turbo so it works the air less but still compresses the same amount generating less heat.
but yes get the larger cooler ether way you need it
The figures I posted up are what I can get to, the remap I'm running is not what it will be in the end, my original question as too the improvement of an aftermarket vs eu3 intercooler is all I really wanted too know, the aftermarket ones are better, so should be updated too before getting to run more "aggressive" tunes,
Thanks everyone, have a good one
For anyone playing along at home,
This could also be a cause for high IAT and egt....
Hopefully it's better now
Well my first "upgrade"was to remove air restrictions on front of the intercooler, finished that last night,
I think in the long run I'll move the auto cooler and get a full height intercooler in front of the radiator,
From what I can understand the only downside to a big intercooler is extra turbo lag, so if I can live with that until VNTs are more affordable, or I give myself a hefty raise, I'll go that way I think.

I do that as well
I've had a hybrid on this car for quite some time, I'm also quite happy with it,
However, if I was worried about lag, then I think a vnt would be the go, I'm not fussed at this stage, but of course they are a better thing, and if I couldn't put up with the extra lag from a full size intercooler, then a vnt world be next, but $$$$....
