I had one of these bars fitted to my D2a a couple of days ago and they are So much more practical/robust than the plastic cracked up bar it replaced[thumbsupbig]
Are the recovery points rated on these or are they just there for show?
They look to be quite strongly mounted.
The recovery points are welded at the front and the rear of the bar, on mine they are. I guess ask the manufacturer.
The points do look pretty solid But a hitch reciver would be the best option for a recovery point I would think.
Anyway thr steel bar is 100% better than the crappy old plastic bar and it is far more robust, It also looks great as well.
They are far from recovery points [bighmmm]
A quick look does show yes they are welded front and back:imwithstupid: .
But do take note of the fixing points for the bar and what they are welded to and imagine up to and plus of 8000 KG in a recovery situation and you will soon decide they are extremely inadequate for a recovery [thumbsupbig]
Yes a receiver hitch in the tow bar for recover would be my pick [wink11]
I couldn't zap a gem like that.
Look here, Out of the mouths of babes.
