Thread: (4, 3) coolant temperature circuit (logged high) & (2, 8) ambient pressure circuit

    (4, 3) coolant temperature circuit (logged high) & (2, 8) ambient pressure circuit

    Two for the price of one. This an EU3 TD5 with the EGR removed.
    (4, 3) coolant temperature circuit (logged high) & (2, 8) ambient pressure circuit (logged low)
    Since I replaced the radiator and the coolant, and bled the cooling system, I have monitered the coolant temps with the Nanocom. The hottest I have seen is 92C and that was today when the external temp, according to the car was 46C. That was waiting for the lights to change. As soon as the car started moving the temp dropped to 89C
    I'll stick a SD card in the Nanocom to record these parameters.
    How high does it go to log a high?
    I'll rebleed the system just in case.
    As for the ambient pressure circuit. I'll clean the contacts This is the one on the airbox? The one I unpluuged to get access to aid in removing the radiator! Ah ha, the plot thickens.

    Depends what you have your Nanacom coolant alarm set at
    I had the same till i reset mine to 105 degrees

    I think they are false error codes, the nanocom is not so good on some eu3 faults, but they are probably most likely both related too the aap/aat sensor(as shown by one of the faults) In the airbox lid, check the wiring and plugs and the readings on the instruments page of the nanocom, particularly the ambient pressure one,then go from there...

    I had the same ambient pressure fault. I found that the wiring look that goes to the MAF area was rubbing on the AC compressor without any sort of insulation in 1 area the wires had rubbed through. I bought a roll of silicon tape from super cheap (5?) and wrapped from the end near the MAF back as far as I could get. It solved my problems. I also bought some electrical contacts cleaner (pressure pack) and cleaned all the sensors including the MAP sensor.

    Again,
    it's nothing to do with the actual coolant temp, it will be a problem with the aap/aat circuit or the sensor itself

    What a dumb arse. Easy Fix!

    I went to the car, armed with contact cleaner only to find the sensor unplugged. I've sprayed in contact cleaner plugged it in and cleared the fault.
