I notified a small tear in the boot on my front ACE Actuator. Temporarily I've wrapped it in some thin plastic cable tied in place to reduce the chance or dirt of much being able to enter and I've purchased a replacement boot. I've got a pass-thru socket set and modified a bolt with the slot < LRT-60-009 ACE special tool > for undoing the top nut, but looking at the assembly it looks like the whole setup will need to be dropped to access the bottom bolt and nut. Is there something I'm missing and a way to get it (the front ACE Actuator) out while leaving the rest in place?
This is the lower bolt on the actuator that I refer to. Looks to me like the whole assembly would need to be dropped in order to remove it as the bolt is on the chassis side so can’t slide out without contacting the chassis first which would prevent it moving any further.
