That sounds like an offer, not to be refused.
Dave's amongst the best spanner jugglers in the country, particularly with Land Rovers. Highly recommended.

Most so called " car trailers " are only rated to 2000 GVM and therefore can not carry a car . That is unless it's an Original Mini.
For your job you would need a trailer rated at 2800 GVM +. Any trailer rated above 2000 GVM must be fitted with electric brakeaway brakes . End of story.
Or you can run the gauntlet & pray you don't get caught :bat::rulez: or nothing bad happens :coplight::wasntme:
Get a mate to tow you to the mechanic, if both cars are registered you can tow across the state if you like [emoji106](vic)
not quite they can also be mechanical so long as the brake applies as soon as the trailer disconnects and will hold the trailer for a given minimum time (which i think was 15 minutes)
or depending where your and your mechanic is I have a vehicle that could probably do that too.
Kennards have hire trailers rated to 3200 ATM. They have the break away device and a brake controller mounted on the drawbar. This talks by wireless to the controls that you plug into the 12v accessory plug in the tow car. Very good trailers. I recently hired one to bring a Volvo C303 home (500km) behind my D2. In hind site I was probably over the 3200 ATM!! still haven't weighed the Volvo but its got an awfully heavy steel tray on it
There is a guy on gumtree around dandenong that hires out a fairly hefty tandem. You will need an electric brake controller though.
The trailer I was going to rent got damaged. I found a local towie, but today he put his back out so maybe tomorrow.
I towed a disco 1 from the central coast to newcastle with my disco 2 no issues
find a trailer with 2 wheels on each side they are usually rated at 2 tonne
