    Only in the quite unlikely scenario that the relay's coil is interrupted then it will be a ''fuel pump relay open load" code but that's very rare, i know about the code but i've never seen it happenng in reality...i most cases the problem is the pump or it's circuit and that's not covered... if you can't hear it remove the pump relay and bridge the perpendicular cavities in the fusebox and if still no sound measure voltage in the pump's plug across the white/purple and black wires(with bridge on) and if you get voltage you need a new pump for sure(provided the fuse is not blown off course)

    Hooray!! Big shout out to SPROVER who came over today with his Nanocom and a fuel pump. No faults detected, swapped over pump and after a few coughs and splutters... Away we go.. Once again this site and its awesome members to the rescue!!
