Your Nanocom not talking to the ECU could be that some of the pins in the fitting under the dash may have been pushed back out of the socket. Worth a look.Quote:

Whilst there may be some esoteric causes for the 3 amigo's appearance the most common is caused by a dry joint (poor electrical connection) in the ABS modulator unit and / or faulty (usually front LHS) ABS sender. As you may have gathered, this is a VERY common problem with the D2 and is not the end of the world (or even close to it). You'll need someone with a Nanocom, Hawkeye or 3 Amigo reset dongle to read/reset the fault(s). As someone suggested read up on option b, don't even consider option a as it's a lot of work and mess, IMO a waste of time.
I've done three now and in each case the shuttle valve assembly was OK so didn't need replacing. It's very easy to test as shown in the tutorial. All you need is a 4mm Allen key, 12mm ? spanner, a soldering iron, two short lengths of wire and a couple of hours spare. Do not disconnect any brake lines. :)
The front LHS ABS wheel sensor inline connection on front inner guard sometimes becomes dirty / poor connection and a simple clean can fix the problem. I picked up 'spares' from the wreckers quite cheaply.
Don't take it to a non Land Rover 'expert' with no knowledge of this common D2 issue as they'll possibly diagnose a faulty ABS modulator and charge you a fortune for it's replacement and then spend the next day and 5 litres of brake fluid at your expense trying to bleed the whole thing. It is highly unlikely that there is anything wrong with the ABS modulator (though theoretically possible) and bleeding D2 brakes up to and including the ABS modulator can be relatively complex and is not for the inexperienced / faint hearted. :)
