Looked at Rave but couldn’t work it out which 4 cables needs to go to RCA output of the headunit.

Tried to find 4 colours mentioned but couldn’t find green with black and which colors works as a pair.

Did you do some in depth searching here on the forum in the Discovery 2 to find the previous threads on this which outline the details?

The Rave wiring diagram certainly does cover the wiring and can be used to identify those that need modification. Being an factory wiring harness, the wires colours won’t correspond to the standard ISO colour scheme.

I have no use for HDMI so didn't look or consider it.
I've run the USB cable to above the dash (through the letter slot air vent that's long been removed) and into my Mudpod dash console. Theres plenty of other ways to do it such as into the glove box or centre console area.

I just purchased a CarPlay2Air adapter for my Halo9 < CarPLay2Air - adapter for wired Apple CarPlay to wireless >. Will report back on how it goes when it arrives.

I've been looking at the Halo for a little bit. But am curious now its on sale in most places in and low stock, as to weather a newer version/model is about to come out...

There will always be new versions coming out. I went with it as it did almost everything that I wanted from it (wireless Apple CarPlay being my only missing feature - which I've now potentially resolved once this new piece of hardware arrives).
I don't imagine that the next replacement will have anything of significance added other than wireless Apple CarPlay and/or wireless Android Auto. So given that they're now on sale and even better value for what they are all the more reason to go with.

Real good value for money. And I looked into it a bit more, and it is of course COVID that is limiting the stocks, so they are struggling to get more in. But a new model should hopefully be around next year at some point apparently.

Geez you blokes are tempting me!
So over the basic Pioneer head unit I currently have.
I've decided I really, really like the voice activated dialing, seamless Bluetooth, steering wheel controls, etc. of modern vehicles.

Hmm, I do drink piccolo lattes....Aftermarket HU upgrade - Alpine Halo9 iLX-F309E installationAftermarket HU upgrade - Alpine Halo9 iLX-F309E installation
