    Your call..... they’re still perfect 12 years later

    Don’t need to go remote canister either.... that will save a few $$$

    Depends what you intend to do...remotes will cater better for corros and eg crossing the deserts...as I found out with 2 new bilstein seals leaking afterwards. Heat is the killer ...other vehicles with remote had no issues at all.

    One truck with new OMEs killed the shocks alltogether😐

    It does help, but can be an unnecessary expense.
    All depends on the operator and how they drive in those conditions.

    I’ve seen Billy Mono tubes so hot the paint was blistering and they were still good. Conversely I’ve seen remote canister (Fox) shocks boil off their emulsion.

    Again much of it is the operator, sometimes 5km/h can be the difference between ok and failure.

    For the OP, it will depend on where their balance of cost vs benefit lands.
