Multiple Errors
Yes, it could be due to signal leakage to earth. I had similar issues recently that were caused by water in a wiring loom and a header connector that are situated high in the passenger side footwell behind the glovebox. Water came inside via the heater blower air intake in those weeks of torrential rain that we had in Melbourne in August. Stop the water entering the blower intake by adhering the plenum cover rubber seal to the windscreen with tape or sealant but do it across the full windscreen width. Check if the foam insulation on the back of the kick panel behind the glovebox is damp or shows evidence that is has been. The foam on mine was disintegrating due to age and so i pulled it off and BINGO! the panel was heavily water stained and warped. You like me might also have had occasional instances of water pooling on the floor below the glovebox that is associated with heavy rain events but because it was infrequent, I ignored it for years and years... until it became a SHOW STOPPER
