You'll be back!
Sold the D2a today. It's been an interesting 5 + years of ownership which has been generally a good experience from which I've learnt so much☺.
Got 12k for it.. not too shabby given it cost me 10k 5 years ago. But it has had significant investment since then.
The car is heading to the outback to support a nice lady who's taking up a job as governess on a station somewhere. It should do okay for her given just about everything has been renewed or replaced!
Over the years it has been interesting to compare the Disco's performance with that of my boys obsession with Patrols and to note how much each car gives trouble and how much each costs in repairs. I can safely say the Disco has come out on top. Cheaper to run and cheaper to repair. Eg I've never had to do suspension bushes or steering components something my boys are always fixing inc power steer boxes. I'd also rather be in the Disco in a crash or roll over cause the Pats fold up like foil tins😐
And don't mention the 2004 GU ZD30 sitting in the shed...talk about a money pit and cattle truck to ride in😑
Anyhow I'd like to thank this forum for members advice over the years ...it's saved me many times from grabbing the Redheads😉
I'm moving to the D4 forum now as we've bought an amazing 2014 D4 SE SC.. look it up...you'll be impressed with the specs😎
Cheers
Eric
